It is my honor and pleasure to welcome all of you to this landmark event of culture, innovation, and partnership.
Along with our commitment to the "K-Initiative" which is the Korean government’s flagship vision for cultural synergy into meaningful economic partnership, we are delighted to offer a comprehensive cultural and economic festival at the Haya Cultural Center in Amman on July 24th and 25th. This event will serve as a dynamic bridge, bringing the vibrant spirit of Korea directly to the heart of Jordan.
Our festival “Ya Hala, meet Korea!” is meticulously designed to share an immersive, holistic experience of Korean culture. You can savor the rich flavors of Korean cuisine, discover the global trends of K-Beauty, and enjoy the dynamic harmony of Korea's performing arts ranging from K-Pop to the rhythms of Samulnori(Korea’s traditional percussion performance) and Buchaechum(Korea’s traditional fan dance).
A Korean fulldome animation film, “Kitz the Cat’s - Secret of Space Station” will offer children guests memorable joy and fun. Furthermore, talented Jordanian performance teams will join us and showcase a beautiful harmony of our two cultures on the stage.
This event also presents the pinnacle of Korean innovation and industry. Our corporate exhibition features Korean electronic appliances, cars, medical devices, renewable energy technology and consumer goods.

YA HALA, MEET KOREA
In light of the growing cooperation and burgeoning bilateral relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Korea, the cultural partnership has emerged as a vital bridge for civilisational communication.
This collaboration has significantly enhanced mutual understanding and strengthened the bonds of friendship and respect between our two nations. Over the past few decades, cultural cooperation has set an exemplary standard for constructive exchange. Based on formal agreements and cultural programmes, these initiatives have created opportunities for interaction in the fields of arts, heritage and creativity, using culture as an effective form of soft power to bring people closer together.
Building on this approach, the " YA HALA, MEET KOREA " serves as a vibrant platform for cultural convergence. It offers a unique opportunity to encourage interaction between creators and artists from both countries while enabling the public to experience the diversity of different cultural traditions.
The Ministry of Culture is proud to present the Ma’an Band of Popular Folklore at this event. As a cornerstone of Jordan’s intangible heritage, the BAND reflects the authenticity of the cultural legacy of the Ma’an Governorate and the artistic and human values deeply rooted in our national memory.
The Ministry reaffirms that this participation aligns with the spirit of the event, celebrating Korean cultural diversity and presenting it to the Jordanian public in an interactive way. This engagement strengthens cultural exchange, deepens the intersection between Jordanian and Korean arts and paves the way for future collaborative prospects in cultural and artistic innovation.
